Creature knowledge and hunting progression

Bestiary

The Bestiary records valid creature kills separately for each character. Progress reveals monster information, awards Charm Points and unlocks encounters with starred versions of mastered creatures.

How to use the Bestiary

1 Open the module Use the Bestiary button in the client side menu and keep the Bestiary tab selected.
2 Find a creature Choose a creature category or use the search field to open its entry.
3 Track progress Activate the kill tracker for the creatures you are hunting and follow the counter while you play.
4 Reach each stage Kills are cumulative. Prowess, Expertise and Mastery reveal information and award Charm Points.

Knowledge Stages

Every creature defines its own cumulative kill thresholds. Stronger monsters may require more kills and grant larger rewards.

Stage What it reveals Progress reward
Unknown The entry is locked and its combat data and loot remain hidden. No reward yet
Prowess Core statistics become visible and the most common loot begins to appear. First Charm Point reward
Expertise The complete combat profile, elements and full loot information become available. Second Charm Point reward
Mastery Completes the creature entry and enables its full Bestiary progression. Third Charm reward and Bestiary score

Current Progress Examples

These values come from the active monster files. The three numbers are the cumulative kills for Prowess, Expertise and Mastery.

Creature Kill thresholds Charm rewards
Rat 80 / 200 / 600 10 / 20 / 30 Charm Points
Dragon 250 / 600 / 1,200 30 / 60 / 90 Charm Points
Demon 300 / 750 / 1,800 150 / 300 / 450 Charm Points

Two different point counters

Charm Points Awarded when a Bestiary stage is reached. They are spent permanently to unlock Charm Runes.
Bestiary Score A permanent progression score awarded for Mastery and starred kills. It is displayed as progress and is not used to buy Charms.

Monster Stars

After reaching at least Prowess for a creature, killing its normal version has a base 2% chance to create a stronger starred successor at the death position. Stars improve combat attributes and loot chance, but currently do not add an experience bonus.

Your stage Possible star result
Prowess 1 Star only
Expertise 1 Star 66.7% / 2 Stars 33.3%
Mastery 1 Star 60% / 2 Stars 30% / 3 Stars 10%
Star tier HP Attack Defense Healing Speed Loot chance
1 Star +30% +30% +5% +15% +20% +5,000
2 Stars +60% +60% +10% +30% +40% +10,000
3 Stars +100% +100% +15% +50% +60% +15,000
The percentages inside the table describe which star tier is chosen after the 2% elite spawn roll succeeds. Special bosses use a separate star roll when they are created.

Kills in a party

Bestiary credit currently goes to one eligible character per kill; it is not copied to every party member. For predictable personal progression, track your counter and make sure your character receives the credited kill.

Creature Categories

Use categories to narrow the catalogue, or search directly by creature name in the client module.
